Are you passionate about providing individualized support and education to Looked After Children? Join our team in Reading as a Looked After Child Tutor and contribute to the academic and personal development of these deserving students.
Position: Looked After Child Tutor Location: Reading, Berkshire Salary: £20-£25 per hour
About Us: We are a dedicated education center committed to providing specialized tutoring services for Looked After Children in Reading and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to create a nurturing and empowering learning environment for every child, fostering their growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to Looked After Children from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to GCSE level.
- Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs and styles.
- Support academic and personal development, addressing any gaps in knowledge or skills.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Collaborate with foster parents, social workers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
Requirements:
- Experience in tutoring or teaching students from EYFS to GCSE level.
- Understanding of the unique challenges faced by Looked After Children.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sensitivity, empathy, and a patient approach to tutoring.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
