Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools
Location: Preston & Blackpool
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join a range of well-established secondary schools across Preston and Blackpool from September 2026. With multiple positions available, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a full-time, long-term role in a supportive and dynamic educational environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to raise attainment and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support across a range of subjects
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who require additional support
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs (where required)
- Monitor and report on student progress and engagement
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a secondary school setting is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
