About the Role
Are you a recent Education graduate looking to begin your career in schools? We are recruiting motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in Preston and surrounding areas, starting in September 2026.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and keen to gain classroom experience before progressing into teaching or further educational roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a variety of subjects
- Work with students aged 11–16, providing both classroom and small group support
- Assist in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
- Support students of varying abilities to help them reach their full potential
- Help with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Ideal Candidate
- A degree in Education (or a closely related field)
- A genuine interest in working within secondary schools
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, positive, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build relationships with students and staff
- Previous experience working with young people (desirable, but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
