Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Blackpool

Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school that places a strong emphasis on student support and personal development. The school is seeking a motivated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a meaningful difference to students’ day-to-day learning and wellbeing.

About the Role:

The Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support students throughout the school day. This will include providing in-class support, delivering targeted interventions, and offering additional guidance to pupils who require extra help to stay engaged and make progress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting learning across KS3 and KS4 lessons
  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
  • Assisting students with additional needs to access the curriculum
  • Supporting the wider pastoral and academic aims of the school

The School Is Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people (secondary school experience desirable)
  • Level 3 Qualified
  • Is calm, adaptable, and confident working in a classroom environment
  • Builds positive relationships with students and staff
  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and student development
  • Has an interest in supporting students with SEN or additional needs (advantageous but not essential)
