Teaching Assistant (KS2) – Maternity Cover
Tidworth
Start Date: October 2026
Pay: £90–£94 per day

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school from October 2026 on a maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel regularly between our Tidworth and Salisbury sites, supporting pupils across both KS1 and KS2.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with children and inspires them to achieve their potential.
• Be able to support pupils across KS2.
• Be willing and able to travel to Tidworth.
• Be an excellent team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to school life.
• Be committed to their own professional development journey.
• Have experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs (desirable).
• Previous experience in a childcare setting is ideal, but not essential as full support will be provided.

The role includes:

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 classrooms.
• Working closely with teachers to deliver targeted support to pupils.
• Assisting children with additional needs to access learning effectively.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment across both sites.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
