Teaching Assistant (KS2) – Maternity Cover
Salisbury
Start Date: October 2026
Pay: £90–£94 per day
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school from October 2026 on a maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel into Salisbury, supporting pupils across KS2.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to helping children thrive academically, socially and emotionally within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with children and inspires them to achieve their potential.
- Be able to support pupils across KS2.
- Be willing and able to travel to Salisbury.
- Be an excellent team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to school life.
- Be committed to their own professional development journey.
- Have experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs (desirable).
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is ideal, but not essential as full support will be provided.
The role includes:
- Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 classrooms.
- Working closely with teachers to deliver targeted support to pupils.
- Assisting children with additional needs to access learning effectively.
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment across both sites.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
