Teaching Assistant – KS2 Interventions

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Garstang. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and making a real impact in the classroom.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled support assistant who can work closely with pupils across Key Stage 2, providing targeted intervention support in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and general classroom learning. You will work alongside the class teacher and SEN team to help pupils reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver small‑group or one‑to‑one interventions within KS2
- Support pupils who require additional guidance or tailored learning
- Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Track progress and help adapt resources to meet pupil needs
- Build strong, supportive relationships with both staff and pupils
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children, ideally within KS2
- Confidence delivering or supporting structured interventions
- A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach
- Ability to work full-time ASAP (part-time availability also considered)
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
