An experienced KS2 teacher is needed for a school in LS16 as maternity cover, beginning after the Christmas holiday until the end of the academic year. If you have experience of teaching KS2 and live in the Horsforth area then continue reading to find out more!

The school is large and fast improving, and are looking for experienced KS2 teachers, preferably with experience of teaching Year 6 SATs to guide their current cohort through exams. A track record of good exam results would be extremely desirable for this school, as the current head is very ambitious and determined to boost attainment in assessed year groups.

The chosen teacher must have strong behaviour management skills as the children respond best to an imposing and authoritative presence in the classroom, especially in upper key stage 2. There will be TA’s in the class who can take particularly challenging children out of class when necessary, but in the run up to SATs exams the school would prefer an experienced teacher who won’t be too phased by challenging behaviour.

  • Experienced KS2 teacher
  • Knowledge of Year 6 curriculum and SATs
  • Track record of good results
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Horsforth area
  • Available to start after Christmas

This role is full-time with a competitive salary, with relevant PPA time allocated.
