KS2 Class Teacher- WF14 Primary School (March start- 1 year contract)
A Primary School we work closely with in the Mirfield area (WF14) are currently seeking to employ a KS2 Class Teacher for a Year 5 class from March 2021 to cover a maternity post for a 1 year contract.
This is an average sized Primary School with approximately 350 pupils in school. The school is situated in the Mirfield area with a high percentage of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language.
This post is currently a long-term position until March 2022 and will be starting in March 2021 (should the children have returned to school) however, there may be the opportunity for a permanent position for the post in December 2021. This is a GOOD school by Ofsted and are on their way to achieve OUTSTANDING over the next 24 months.
- Location- Mirfield (WF14)
- Start date – March 2021
- Pay - GBP100 (NQT) - GBP150 per day (depending on experience)
- Full time teaching (PPA allocated time)
- Long-term – 12 months / possibility of a permanent contract from December 2021
This role would involve settling in and immediately beginning preparation ahead of the KS2 SATs which are expected to run as normal next year in 2022. Majority of the pupils in the mixed Year 5 class of 29 pupils are working below the National Expectations however, the successful candidate will be working collaboratively with the Key Stage 2 Phase Leader and the two other class teachers in terms of medium and long term planning. Ideally the candidate would be a teacher with experience in preparing for and administering KS2 SATs, with in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a track record of raising attainment.
To be eligible for any teaching job with Teaching Personnel, you must have the following:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child related references
- UK Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
