KS2/KS3 Teacher
Location: Arley
Salary: £32,916 (M1) to £45,350 (M6) per year + £2,786 SEN allowance
Job Type: Permanent - Full Time

Teaching personnel have a great opportunity to work with a independent special day school situated within a rural village near Nuneaton, the school specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome
  • Experience in teaching KS2 and KS3 curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods
