KS2 Catch-up Booster Teacher

-          Part-time role

-          April 2021 Start

-          Competitive rate of GBP15-GBP20 per hour

-          Key Stage 2 Teacher required to work with small groups of children working below age related expectations.

The recent school closures have left children, on average, 3 months behind in their studies with over 44% of pupils requiring catch up tuition in the coming academic year. Owing to such, the government have allocated additional funding to support children in need of extra tuition. In light of these recent developments, Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a Primary School in Preston who are looking to secure a strong Teacher to work alongside small groups of children in Y4 and Y5 targeting gaps in learning. 

 

As a booster/intervention teacher you would deliver pre-planned sessions on a 1:1 or small group basis. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching within a KS2 class, a broad knowledge of the curriculum, and confident in implementing behavioural management policies. After such a long period away from the classroom, it can only be expected that some students will find it harder than others to return to school. The successful candidate should therefore be of a nurturing nature and prepared to assist children into their return to school life as much as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
