Job description

We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic and determined TA for 121 work in an Outstanding Primary School (KS1) in Northallerton! This is a temporary role, best suited to an individual that has experience in 121 work and a passion for making a difference to children’s lives.

Position: 121 TA

Location: Northallerton (DL6)

Start Date: September 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in preparing the classroom and materials for effective lesson delivery
  • Provide individualized support to students during lessons to enhance engagement and understanding
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback to support ongoing development
  • Help to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for student learning and well-being

Requirements:

  •  Experience working in KS1
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to help out in lessons when needed
  • Experience in SEND 121 work
  • Calm, patient and understanding
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS and on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
