KS1 Teaching Assistant – BH10 Area
Temporary to Permanent | ASAP Start

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the BH10 area to recruit a General KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual seeking a long-term role, with the position initially offered on a temporary basis and a strong likelihood of becoming permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will start ASAP, continuing through the remainder of the academic year and into September 2026.

About the Role:

  • Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 within the classroom
  • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Providing general classroom support, including small group interventions and 1:1 support
  • Delivering targeted SEN 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
  • Assisting with small group work to support learning, progress, and confidence
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working within KS1 (school-based experience is desirable)
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN or a willingness to develop in this area
  • Be patient, caring, and passionate about supporting young learners
  • Be able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Be reliable, proactive, and adaptable in their approach
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
