As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, helping to create a positive and productive classroom experience.

Job Description:

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of individual students and small groups
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
  • Supporting students during activities, projects, and interventions to enhance their learning experience
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate
  • Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and support

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with a proactive and positive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
