KS1 learning support assistant

KS1 Learning support assistant - Ealing - full time - £60 - £80 per day

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced learning support assistant to support numerous students within KS1 classes. The school based in Ealing are looking for a full time learning support assistant to work with students with a variety of needs including: autism with associated challenging behaviour, ADHD, global learning delay and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The role:

This learning support assistant position will be based across KS1 classes, providing one to one and group support to a variety of different students. Within this particular school they have a number of students with different special educational needs including: autism, ADHD, global learning delay and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. They are looking for someone experienced working with students with a variety of needs, able to adapt to each child within the classroom.

This school is a two form entry school with a variety of different students, emphasising the importance of social inclusion and respect. Development and support are key features of the schools ethos, encouraging the children to become active and engage with the curriculum.

A variety of needs are catered for through the schools facilities, SEN provisions have been formed to ensure the best possible support to every child. There are focuses on cognition and learning, communication and interaction skills, social mental and emotional health and sensory/physical support.

Ideal candidate:

• SEN experienced
• Completed additional CPD courses or willing to undergo additional training
• Available to work full time
