-         Experience within a Primary School setting required and relevant qualification

A ‘Good’ Primary School located in Burnley are looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant on a full- time, tern time only basis. To be considered for the role, you must have recent experience within a Primary School and possess a good understanding of the national curriculum. The Head Teacher has stipulated that they are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for supporting children in their education and achieving their maximum potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you would be required to:

• Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
• Work across classes (approx. 28-31 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning
• Be able to work within year 1 supporting Phonics and speech/language development
• Effectively support pupils in their preparation for SAT’s exams.
• Assist in the management of behaviour
• Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting maths, reading, and writing abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
