We immediately require Key Stage 2 Teachers to work at Primary Schools in the Selby area!

Due to many of our flexible cover teachers being appointed by schools on a full-time basis, we urgently seek additional KS2 Teachers to work on a temporary basis across Year 3 to Year 6. You will provide class teaching to cover PPA, courses, meetings, sickness absences, progress meetings and additional resources such as boosters and SATs Prep. We work closely with a number of schools in Selby but have schools in the areas surrounding such as Goole, Pocklington, Escrick and York who look to us for cover. As such, access to your own transport will be desirable. The majority of work will be arranged in advance with notice in line with your availability, but there may be occasions where we could contact you with short notice when required providing your availability will accommodate this.

As a cover teacher at various schools, you will be comfortable working in multiple form entry schools in addition to mixed year group primary settings, have strong behaviour management skills and be keen to push progression and attainment.

You will motivate children and imaginatively use resources to help them learn and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the requirements of the national curriculum. You will need to utilise a range of strategies for teaching and maintaining classroom behaviour in accordance with the school policy. The ideal teacher will be passionate about children's wellbeing and attainment, keen to make positive relationships with the pupils to gain engagement and progress.
