Job Title: Key Stage 1 Class Teacher
Location: Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan (WN4)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with strong potential to become permanent)
Salary: Pay-to-Scale
The Role:
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school located just off the A58 in Ashton-in-Makerfield. The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a school that values high-quality teaching and strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Track and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Establish positive classroom routines and promote good behaviour.
- Work effectively as part of a team to support whole-school development.
- Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- A current Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
