KS1 Teacher – Primary Schools | Sheffield & Barnsley | September 2025 Start

We are looking for passionate and committed Key Stage 1 Teachers to work in welcoming primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, this is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners and help them achieve their full potential.


Location: Sheffield & Barnsley

Role: KS1 Teacher – Years 1 & 2

Start Date: Immediate starts also available

⏰ Contract: Full-time | Long-term with potential for permanent


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Support and inspire children in Year 1 and Year 2
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Work effectively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and parents
  • Contribute to the wider school community and activities

✅ Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching KS1 (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Good knowledge of phonics and early literacy/numeracy support
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
