Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with learning disabilities?
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Job Coach to join one of our Post 16 settings in Plymouth. This role is instrumental in empowering young individuals to develop vital employability skills and progress towards paid employment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalised coaching and guidance to supported interns and their host employers.

Identify suitable work tasks for interns and ensure alignment with their individual strengths and capabilities.

Collaborate with employers to implement Task Boards and other tools to promote intern independence.

Use strategies like Job Carving to break down complex tasks into manageable steps.

Conduct regular on-site visits to monitor intern progress and provide ongoing support.

Facilitate open communication between interns and employers, offering written guidance on intern needs, safeguarding considerations, and effective support strategies.

Organise and lead ‘Meet & Greet’ sessions with employers to ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding process.

Work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet the needs of interns and employers.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or additional needs.
- It is essential to have: Supported Employment Techniques training (SET) and Literacy/Numeracy level 2 or equivalent.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

A creative and solution-focused approach to overcoming barriers to employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
