IT / Computing Teacher Job in Brighton

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large mixed comprehensive secondary school in the heart of Brighton. The school are in the process of recruiting for an ICT and Computer Science teacher to join their Computing faculty in the new academic year (September 2019).

Due to a member of the Computing faculty relocating during the summer break, this open vacancy will initially be offered on a full-time temporary basis until December 2019. Following the initial successful period, the appointed ICT and Computer Science teacher will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the school.

"We have an open gap within the Computing faculty for an outstanding ICT and Computer Science teacher to join us from September 2019 or sooner if possible. It is essential that the incoming ICT and Computer Science teacher is able to teach students across both Key Stage Three and GCSE to be considered for this position." Head Teacher

  • Full-time ICT and Computer Science teacher required, September 2019 start (or sooner if possible).
  • Working within a small, dedicated team of three computing specialist teachers
  • Initially offered on a temporary basis for one term, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position from December 2019
  • Large mixed comprehensive secondary school, central Brighton location
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)

Our partner secondary school has recently been refurbished through the Brighton schools Refurbishment Programme and has a large building dedicated to ICT and Computer Science. This block has an open learning space with state of the art equipment and e-Learning centre. The successful ICT and Computer Science teacher will have the opportunity to teach classes in traditional classroom environments alongside working in the larger open learning space.
