Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, a thriving primary school in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to children’s learning, providing targeted support to help pupils reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Delivering small group and 1:1 intervention sessions across core subjects (literacy, numeracy, etc.).

Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, helping to close attainment gaps.

Working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver effective intervention programmes.

Monitoring and recording progress, feeding back to teaching staff and parents as appropriate.

Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement in learning.
What We’re Looking For

Experience of working with primary-aged children (school-based experience desirable).

Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

An understanding of how to support pupils with additional needs.

Patience, resilience, and the ability to motivate and inspire children.

A positive team player who is flexible and committed to supporting the school’s ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
