Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Worthing, who are seeking a committed Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning and social needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help a child thrive, develop confidence and engage positively in their learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with individual needs

• Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks when necessary
• Promote independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and school support team
• Maintain a calm, encouraging and child-centred approach
• Support the pupil’s integration into the classroom and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
• Patient, nurturing and resilient
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Confident in following educational and behavioural strategies
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting children’s development
• Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or be registered on the Update Service)
