SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Littlehampton
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive one-form entry primary school in Littlehampton.
This is a varied and rewarding role working across the school to support children with Special Educational Needs, while assisting the SENCo and working closely as part of a collaborative staff team.
The Role
- Support pupils with a range of SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Work across the school, including in-class and intervention support
- Assist the SENCo with day-to-day SEN provision and organisation
- Support pupils with learning, communication, social and emotional needs
- Contribute to planning, implementing and reviewing SEN strategies
- Help ensure all pupils can access learning in an inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
- Is patient, flexible and nurturing, with a strong team ethos
- Can work proactively under the direction of the SENCo and class teachers
- Has a good understanding of inclusive practice and child development
- Is organised, adaptable and committed to supporting every child to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
