A specialist SEMH school based local to Colchester are seeking an experienced ICT teacher to join their team as of January 2021.
We are seeking an ICT Specialist Teacher ideally with experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. The school caters for pupils aged 10-16 with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The successful applicant must have previous experience of planning and delivering a tailored curriculum for pupils with additional learning needs. You will have a working knowledge of developing Education, Health and Care Plans and of working to specific goals for individual pupils.
Responsibilities will include:
- meeting every student’s individual needs in line with their EHCP
- optimising children’s potential outcomes
- helping prepare for the future by becoming active members of their local community
- teaching ICT across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4
You will be joining an extremely welcoming team of staff who are dedicated to improving the lives of their young people. This role will be held on a full time basis for at least the spring term with strong potential of a permanent contract to the right candidate or an extended contract.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
