Teacher of ICT based in North Tyneside

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to recruit for a Teacher of Information and Communication Technology to join one of our thriving secondary schools in the North Tyneside area from November 2023.

The school is considered as ‘good’ by Ofsted and students from this school are found to be highly engaged in their learning. The secondary school is located within the North Tyneside area and is easily accessible via car as well as by several public transport links.

  • Full-time ICT teacher
  • Required from 6th November 2023 and will run for the full academic year (July 2024)
  • Paid in line with teaching scale
  • Teaching pupils aged 11-16 (KS3 and KS4 level)

To be considered for this position, the incoming teacher must have:

  • Hold a UK recognised Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent
  • Experience teaching ICT to GCSE level
  • Child workforce only DBS (we can help you apply)
  • Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning
  • Understand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students

Details of the role:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriate, broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated ICT curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the subject
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
  • To share and support the academy’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
