ICT Teacher/ Cover Supervisor

Salary: Competetive (dependent on experience) 

About the role: 

At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ICT Teacher or ICT Cover Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT, along with excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

This role involves supporting students in Years 7–11 across ICT lessons. Previous experience working in a UK secondary school setting is essential, as well as the ability to build positive rapport with students and contribute to a productive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities: 

• Deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the school curriculum.

• Support students in developing their digital literacy and computing skills.

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning experience.

• Cover lessons when required, ensuring continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback where appropriate.

• Collaborate with teaching staff to support departmental planning and resource development.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.

Role Requirements: 

• Previous experience teaching or supporting ICT in a UK secondary school.

• Strong subject knowledge and confidence in delivering ICT-related content.

• Excellent behaviour management and classroom control.

• Ability to build rapport and motivate students across all ability levels.

• Relevant teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) is desirable but not essential.

• For Cover Supervisors: prior experience delivering lessons or supervising classes is beneficial.

• A child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

• A genuine passion for education and commitment to student success.
