Location: Walsall, Mainstream Secondary School
Start date: ASAP, Aututmn Term
Salary: Competetive (dependent on experience)
About the role:
At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ICT Teacher or ICT Cover Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT, along with excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
This role involves supporting students in Years 7–11 across ICT lessons. Previous experience working in a UK secondary school setting is essential, as well as the ability to build positive rapport with students and contribute to a productive learning environment.
Role Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the school curriculum.

Support students in developing their digital literacy and computing skills.

Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning experience.

Cover lessons when required, ensuring continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback where appropriate.

Collaborate with teaching staff to support departmental planning and resource development.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
Role Requirements:

Previous experience teaching or supporting ICT in a UK secondary school.

Strong subject knowledge and confidence in delivering ICT-related content.

Excellent behaviour management and classroom control.

Ability to build rapport and motivate students across all ability levels.

Relevant teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) is desirable but not essential.

For Cover Supervisors: prior experience delivering lessons or supervising classes is beneficial.

A child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

A genuine passion for education and commitment to student success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
