Humanities Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a full-time Humanities Teacher to start after October half-term. About the role:

• Competitive daily pay rate

As a Humanities Teacher you will plan and deliver engaging lessons following the national curriculum whilst ensuring all resources and materials are accessible to a variety of learning types. You will teach Years 7-9 a combination of History and Geography, until students have picked their chosen subject for GCSE. You will teach the GCSE curriculum within your specialist subject (History/Geography). You will regularly assess pupils both formally and informally, providing both written and verbal feedback. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other members of the department to ensure the curriculum and lesson plans remain relevant and reflective of student progress.

What we’re looking for:

• QTS with a strong background in either History or Geography
• Experience teaching at KS3 and GCSE level (trainee teacher placements included)
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE national curriculum in your chosen subject
• Excellent behaviour management and knowledge of current teaching techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both the students and other staff members
