HLTA - Bury primary school

A primary school based in Bury (BL9) is looking for a HLTA to work across Key Stage 2 supporting teachers in the class room and covering full lessons for PPA. This role will involve supporting the class room teacher in the morning, mostly in the Year 5 class and covering lessons in the afternoon.

The school has a large number of pupils with SEN and SEMH needs so experience working with additional needs and challenging behaviour is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Previous SEN or SEMH experience
  • A flexible and creative approach to learning

The school is larger than average and has an excellent senior leadership team that is supportive and focused on getting the best out of the pupils and staff. The Head teacher has high standards and is looking for an excellent candidate to hit the ground running and make a real impact on young children's lives.
