HLTA - Behaviour, Islington (Essex Road Station)

A 'good' mainstream school in Islington, N1 are looking for an HLTA (Behaviour) to join their team in September. The school is 5 minute walk to Essex Road Station (National Rail) and 15 minute walk o Haggerston Station (National Rail). This is a good school working on continual improvement. You will find a friendly and committed staff who really believe in our children and their ability to positively affect children's lives.

Our 'Edible Garden'

In the corner of our playground we have kitchen garden beds and fruit trees making our fabulous 'edible garden'. Produce from the garden is used in our curriculum kitchen which was funded and runs in partnership with Jamie Oliver's Better Food Foundation. We are currently working on a herb project, which will mean we get to sell our produce to a local restaurant that is partnered with us.

Aspiring Teacher Programme

The Aspiring Teachers Programme is designed to support graduates who are looking to develop their experience and skills in education, prior to teacher training. Successful applicants will employed by the school or a year's paid work experience, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. During the year, they will be assigned a mentor and carry out a range of tasks within school, designed to prepare them for year 2 of teacher training.
