Are you qualified History teacher looking for your next role from September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside one of our partner schools in Oldham who require a History teacher from September 2019 due to a gap in the department. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue your teaching career at a 'Good' school in Oldham as well as a strong possibility of earning a permanent contract at the school.

  • Full time Teacher of History role from September 2019
  • Initial one year placement
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract due to a strong working relationship with the school
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our partner school is currently situated in Oldham town centre, and they are due to move to a 'state of the art' new building in September 2020 in the East Oldham region. The new building will provide amazing facilities for 1500 students and provide exceptional education at the heart of the community in Oldham.

"History is a distinctive and well-established academic discipline with its own methods and discourses. Its field of study is potentially limitless, in that it encompasses the totality of past human experience. In the classroom students can learn all about the history, not only of our country, but of our world and society. We are looking for a History teacher with excellent subject knowledge, as well as the ability to instil a love for learning within our students." Head of Humanities.

As a History teacher at our partner school, you will initially be teaching KS3 history, with a view of also teaching KS4 history when the school expands over the next few years. The role will involve planning of the curriculum with the rest of the department, with collaborative planning being a priority for the head of department. Prospective applicants should hold QTS within the UK along with relevant qualifications.
