History Teacher

An exciting opportunity to work within the Humanities department of a vibrant and modern secondary academy that are passionate about the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of staff.

• Full-time History Teacher required from January 2021 (or earlier if appropriate)
• Teaching pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373-GBP40,490)
• Secondary academy based in Salford Quays, close to a Metrolink stop

Our partner secondary academy is currently seeking an engaging and dedicated Teacher of History to join the Humanities department in the new academic year due to a recent internal promotion. The academy opened in 2012 and has been noted for a recent progression in performance tables. The school currently has fewer than 900 pupils on roll, as they look to expand over the coming academic years.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake full department responsibilities including planning and marking, alongside delivering History lessons to pupils up to GCSE level. The successful teacher will need to prepare and deliver differentiated History lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning abilities including those with learning difficulties and special educational needs. Experience of delivering other subjects across the range of Humanities is highly desirable.
