History Teacher

Full time History Teacher job in Oldham

Due to a gap in the Humanities department we are seeking a History Teacher or Newly Qualified History Teacher for a full time, long term position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established, large modern secondary school in Oldham. The school itself had an excellent reputation in the community where pupils are encouraged to flourish and due to this a passionate History Teacher is required to join the department to help continue with their traditions of delivering results and transforming young pupils into outstanding future members of the community. Located a short distance from Oldham Athletic Football ground the school is easily accessible both by car and public transport with major links to the city centre nearby to the school.

The incoming History Teacher or Newly Qualified History Teacher will be required to deliver to a wide variety of ability groups, both to KS3 and GCSE level. Due to the strong support structure installed within the school there may be extra pastoral responsibilities included within this position, such as supporting a form group, or delivering school assemblies.

The school has recently had a multimillion pound refurbishment resulting in excellent teaching and learning provisions throughout, making this a very appealing school for the incoming History Teacher. the school welcome applications from teachers of all experience levels, including NQT's, and your pay will be reflected with all teachers being paid to their scale point (£23,720-£39,406).
