History teacher

Full-time History teacher required for a large mixed secondary school based in Bolton.

Our client secondary school located in Bolton wish to appoint a History teacher that is able to start in September on a 12 month basis, due to an upcoming open gap within their Humanities department.

  • Full time History teaching position
  • Employment on a temporary basis for 12 months in the first instance (Permanent contract possibilities later in the year.)
  • Teaching a complete time table, inclusive of KS3 and GCSE classes.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406)

With the current post holder set to retire ahead of September, this well managed 11-18 secondary school wish to appoint a temporary History teacher ahead of the summer holidays for a September start.

The head of humanities wishes to appoint a History specialist as a matter of urgency and seeks to meet with applicants in the coming weeks. The incoming History teacher will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities including; planning, marking, attending termly parent's evenings and weekly departmental meeting. History teachers of all experiences are encouraged to apply for this post, with the school welcoming experienced and newly qualified teachers to apply.

Located on the outskirts of Bolton town centre, the school is easily accessible via the M61 and has strong public transport links from the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford, Wigan and Manchester. This school uses Apple Facilities for teaching and learning, pupils are setted on ability and not just age which creates a systematic planning and delivery process for teaching staff.
