Due to an upcoming maternity leave our client school wish to appoint a temporary History teacher to cover a temporary gap – ASAP start.
- Full time History teaching position.
- Ofsted graded ‘Good’ graded secondary school.
- Located on the border of Wigan and Salford.
- Leading a predominately KS3 focused timetable for the remainder of this academic year with extension into the new academic year likely.
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS standards.
With the current post holder due to go on maternity leave earlier than anticipated, this well managed 11-18 secondary school wish to appoint a temporary History teacher to join them in the coming weeks.
The head of Humanities wishes to appoint a Humanities teacher (History specialist) to cover an upcoming maternity leave within their department. The incoming History teacher will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities including; planning, marking, attending termly parent’s evenings and weekly departmental meeting. History teachers of all experiences are encouraged to apply for this post, with the school welcoming experienced and newly qualified teachers to apply.
This secondary school falls under the Liverpool Diocese and is a well regarded school which achieves outstanding results. Located on the outskirts of Wigan, the school is easily accessible via the East Lancashire road making the surrounding areas commutable; Bolton, Salford, Trafford, Warrington and St Helens. It is a larger than average with roughly 1100 pupils on roll and numbers increasing year on year due to being oversubscribed. The majority of students are of white british heritage and the proportions of minority ethnic students and of those who speak English as an additional language are below average.
