Teacher of History required for large mixed comprehensive Secondary school and Sixth Form in the Worsley region of Salford.

Large mixed comprehensive 11-18 Secondary school have an open vacancy within their Humanities department for a History teacher to join the faculty on a full time temporary basis from Easter 2018. Due to the nature of the position, the successful History teacher will be offered a permanent contract from September 2018 following the initial term.

  • Full time History teaching position, Key Stage Three and GCSE
  • Initially temporary with a permanent contract to be secured from September 2018.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)
  • Experienced and newly qualified History teachers welcome to apply
  • Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school with state of the art facilities

"Our high achieving Humanities faculty wish to appoint a forward thinking History teacher to join them from Easter 2018. This position will emerge into a permanent post for the successful History teacher. Full support will be provided and expectations to raise attainment across an already rapidly improving cohort will be given." - Head Teacher

The school recently received a Progress 8 Score of +0.023, meaning that all students make the expected progress or higher during their education. This score is expected to rise again in the forthcoming years as the school plan to over staff departments to incorporate intervention and tuition classes. The incoming History teacher will be expected to plan a range of creative lessons that engage all abilities, and mark in line with the school policies.

Located in Salford, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and M602 Motorway. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links from Bolton, Leigh and central Manchester that provide a direct route to the school.
