Job description

A school based in Southampton are looking to appoint a NQT of History to join their growing humanities department. The right applicant with be supported by a long standing department that can help with learning and development opportunities.

The History Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver KS3 and KS4 History and follow the DFE curriculum. The school hopes that the right candidate will provide general support through out the school and become not only a vaule member of the department but the school.

The school are looking to recruit a individual that can join the schools welcoming community and diverse team.

The successful candidates will:
Be highly motivated.
Support the development of Schemes of Work across the Key Stages.
Have a clear vision and pedagogical knowledge of the teaching of History.
Be prepared to lead extra-curricular, educational visits and out-of-school learning.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
