Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for bringing history to life and the ability to inspire and motivate students. We are looking for someone who can be a positive role model, build strong relationships and create an engaging learning environment.

We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Key Responsibilites:

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).

• Foster a positive learning environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and active participation.

• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions where necessary.

• Contribute to the development of curriculum plans, resources, and enrichment activities.

Key Requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Strong subject knowledge in History and the ability to deliver the curriculum effectively.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

• Experience teaching History at GCSE and/or A-Level (desirable).

• Willingness to lead or support extracurricular activities related to History or Humanities (desirable).

• A creative approach to lesson planning and resource development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
