Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary Schools Across Wigan

Daily Rate: £100 - £120 (depending on experience and role responsibilities)

Are you a qualified HLTA – or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience before securing a permanent role?

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working closely with a range of vibrant and welcoming primary schools across Wigan, providing Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support pupils’ learning, lead small group work, and occasionally cover whole classes.

Whether you're an experienced HLTA or a newly qualified teacher looking to build experience, we have flexible opportunities to suit you!

Ideal Candidates Will Be:

  • Qualified HLTAs OR Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking classroom experience
  • Confident to lead small group interventions or deliver whole-class sessions
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable in different classroom environments
  • Committed to promoting the progress and development of all pupils
  • Holders of (or willing to apply for) a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
