Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full Time

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school to recruit a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a September 2026 start.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or an accomplished teaching assistant ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, delivering high-quality lessons and helping pupils reach their full potential.
The Role
As the school's HLTA, you will:
- Deliver planned lessons across a range of primary year groups to cover PPA time and teacher absence.
- Support class teachers in planning, preparing and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted intervention and support.
- Promote a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with the teaching team.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold HLTA status or have relevant qualifications and experience.
- Have previous experience working within a UK primary school.
- Be confident leading whole-class learning across the primary age range.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
- Be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to raising standards.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
