Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with SEN Support — S10 Area Schools
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Location: Primary and secondary schools in the S10 area (Sheffield)
Salary: £100–£120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term or supply roles
Start Date: Immediate and September 2025 starts available
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide targeted SEN support across schools in the S10 area. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering interventions, and working closely with teachers and the SENCO to help all learners thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Deliver tailored interventions and small-group sessions for pupils with SEN
✅ Support teachers in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
✅ Provide in-class support, promoting engagement and inclusion
✅ Monitor and report on pupil progress
✅ Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, parents, and external professionals
✅ Occasionally cover whole classes when required (within HLTA role)
We’re Looking For:
✔ HLTA qualification or equivalent
✔ Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
✔ Good behaviour management and the ability to build rapport with pupils
✔ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
