This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dynamic English specialist to lead a growing department and play a key role in shaping the English curriculum for students aged 11 to 18.
The Role:
As Head of English, you will:
- Lead the English department with strategic vision and subject expertise
- Teach across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (GCSE and A-Level English)
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge all learners
- Foster a love of English through creative planning, engaging content and enrichment activities
- Monitor progress using data to inform teaching and drive improvement
- Support and develop teaching colleagues within the department
- Champion inclusive education – experience working with SEND pupils is essential

- QTS and a degree in English or a related subject
- Strong track record of success teaching English at KS3–KS5
- Experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEND)

- A desire to contribute to whole-school development and extra-curricular life
