Head of Creative – Shaftesbury

Full-Time | Start Date: Jan 2026

A secondary school in Shaftesbury is seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Creative to lead their creative curriculum, including art, design, drama, music, and media studies. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and manage the Creative Arts department, fostering innovation and high-quality teaching across all creative disciplines

  • Develop a vision for creative learning that engages students and helps them achieve their full potential

  • Support, mentor, and train staff to deliver outstanding creative teaching and learning

  • Monitor student progress and adapt provision to meet individual needs and aspirations

  • Work closely with families, external partners, and the wider school community to enrich students’ creative experiences
