We require graduates pursuing a career in education for full-time teaching assistant roles, commencing in September 2019.

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for our Future Teachers Programme, which is designed to allow graduates to explore a career in education prior to formal training. Whilst in this scheme, graduates can expect to develop their confidence and gain a broader insight into the responsibilities of a teacher.

Successful applicants will be working as a teaching assistant for 12 months, taking on various responsibilities that will help to emulate the day-to-day timetable of a teacher.

** Applicants must hold a degree or be in the process of completing a degree (final year) and be looking to pursue a career in education **

• Full time Graduate teaching assistant role for 12 months - Followed by introduction to a SCITT programme at a training school
• Places available across the whole of the Tyne and Wear area, including South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham
• Opportunities for all graduates pursuing a career in Secondary Education
• Great rates of pay-up to £1000 a month for the first 12 months whilst gaining essential and invaluable experience as a teaching assistant

Applicants that are successful in their teaching assistant placement will be offered a position on the school's SCITT program, where they will begin their formal teacher training.
