Here at TP Tutors we have a pool of fantastic educators, and we need more! We are actively recruiting for Qualified Teachers, Tutors, Higher Level Teaching Assistants and SEN/ SEMH Specialists in Oxford! 

There has been an increase of young people who are unable to attend and access school because of a variety of reasons, and here at TP Tutors we support these young people! Pupils who need our services, tend to have SEN needs, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and Lower Learning Levels.

In being a Tutor, you will teach your subject specialism/s to the pupils on a 1:1 basis. As a tutor, you will need to be able to build a relationship with this student to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. As a tutor, you may be required to quickly adapt and change your approach to suit the environment which the pupil is in.

TP Tutors are recruiting tutors in English, Maths and Science at KS1 – KS4.

The tutor role involves:

  • Working with children in a 1:1 format at their homes or local area (public library).
  • Planning resources around the child’s needs – could be English, Maths, Science or educational learning through play.
  • Skills to keep the child engaged.
  • Managing and implementing a range of behaviour management techniques.
  • Establishing and building a rapport with the child.

What we are looking for in a tutor:

  • SEMH and/ or SEN experience.
  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging core academic sessions, tailored to the pupil’s learning level.
  • Assessing and track the pupils progress to achieve their desired learning outcomes and provide feedback.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
