Graduate Teaching Assistants - Manchester

Are you graduating this year and looking to pursue a career in teaching?

Do you want to gain experience in Secondary schools before your PGCE?

Teaching Personnel are the leading recruitment agency for Education, covering England and Wales. Our Manchester secondary office is located in Manchester city centre and services the majority of schools in the Greater Manchester area. The client secondary school is located in central South Manchester, and is seeking graduates to work as Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors within the school.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. This will involve working with pupil in the classroom during the lesson, helping them stay on task as well as managing behaviour. In addition to this, you will be working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis providing intervention sessions within you subject specialism. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be delivering pre planned lessons in the absence of the Teacher.

The successful Teaching Assistant will display good behavioural management in small groups and 1:1.

The school has vacancies for Teaching Assistants to start after Easter, as well as after May half term. The positions are for the summer term initially, with the possibility to extend.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
