Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant required for a large Salford based secondary school with an immediate start date - until the end of the academic year.

Teaching Personnel are in the process of recruiting for a high calibre Graduate Teaching Assistant for our client secondary school based in the Eccles area of Salford. This excellent opportunity will allow the successful Graduate an opportunity to build a foundation in support of a future teacher training course. If you are recent graduate wishing to pursue a career within Education sector then please see the following details.

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant, required immediately with the potential for an earlier start for the successful candidate.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school - with access to relevant CPD training programmes.
  • Must hold degree level qualifications alongside previous experience working with young people.
  • Earn up to £1200+ per month.

What to expect?

Work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their teaching and learning, across key stages 3 & 4. The flexibility to support pupils in a range of subjects is essential, either 1:1 or small groups under the guidance of Senior Leadership. The role may also involve supporting pupils during the transition period for incoming year seven students and year 11 pupils in preparation for the GCSE Exams and general cover responsibilities may also apply.

"We are looking to bolster the support available to all pupils across English, Maths and Science so wish to appoint a dedicated team of Graduates to work alongside our pupils this academic year. The role of Graduate Support Assistant will incorporate working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, covering lessons with pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher and leading group sessions with pupils across Key Stage Three and Four. This position will provide Graduates with skills to ensure they will become outstanding teachers of the future." Head Teacher

This growing secondary school is based in Eccles, Greater Manchester and has just over 1000 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. It is ideally located to be accessed via the A580 and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Trafford and Wigan. The school also has various public transport options with links throughout Greater Manchester.
