Considering a career in secondary teaching in the future?

If so, please see the details of our graduate teaching assistant opportunities across a variety of secondary schools located within the Greater Manchester region.

Teaching Personnel currently have multiple client schools across Central, South and North Manchester who wish to appoint additional teaching assistants from September 2019.

Due to the nature of these teaching assistant roles, the schools wish to appoint graduates who are looking to pursue a career in secondary teaching in the future. These graduate teaching assistant roles will involve providing specific subject to pupils within lessons based around your subject specialism.

These opportunities are available to graduates of all subjects; however those with Maths, English and Science degrees are particularly of interest to our client schools across Manchester.

  • Full time Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2019 start
  • Temporary opportunities ranging from 3 months to 9 months
  • Supporting pupils learning and enhancing their development within various subjects
  • Providing tuition sessions to individual pupils who aren't making the expected progress required for them to achieve their target grades
  • Working with pupils across KS3 and GCSE level (Aged 11-16)
  • Pay of £1200 - £1300 per month

If you are considering applying to a teacher training course in secondary education in the near future, but would like to gain further experience prior to this, this is the ideal opportunity for you.

To be considered for these opportunities applicants must meet the below criteria;

  • Be education to degree level
  • Have a passion for working within education and ideally want to progress onto a teacher training course in the future
  • Hold previous experience working within education or hold transferable experience
  • Be available on a full time basis from September 2019
