JOB TYPE: Full-time



Are you a recent graduate looking to step into the world of education? Do you have experience working with children? Are you based in the Greater Manchester area?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and passionate core subject graduate (Maths,English,Science, Psychology) to work in one of our schools located in Bromley Cross, Bolton. The role will be commencing at the start of the Summer term in April up until the end of the academic year. Other subject graduates are welcome to apply!

The role will be to support intervention and help those that need it most with catch-up on lost education due to COVID.  

The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally have some experience working with children/ young people. Youth work / mentoring / tutoring / volunteering will all be considered. A willingness to learn is essential
  • Have a degree in Maths,English,Science & Psychology
  • Be positive, friendly, confident, outgoing and calm under pressure
  •  A genuine interest and enthusiasm for supporting the next generation of children
  • Be available full-time
  • Be comfortable working with challenging behaviour and SEND
  • Have a genuine interest in making a difference and helping narrow the gap for those that are disadvantaged

Responsibilities of this role:

  • 1:1 Tuition with students that require extra support in their subject
  • Lead small group intervention sessions leading up to key exams
  • Take responsibility for revision sessions and lunch time learning clubs
  • Provide general cover to other areas within school as well as your specialist subject
  • Involvement in departmental planning and marking
