EYFS Teacher Needed
A ‘Good’ faith Primary School located in Weymouth are in need of a Reception Class Teacher. This role is to start from Monday 5th September 2022 and run for the whole academic year (fixed term contract).
The school:
This is a single form entry school with good pupil behaviour across the school. The average class sizes are between 25 – 29 and a high percentage of pupils are currently working towards their attainment targets. Additionally, the SLT have been an active presence in the school for over the past 4 years and operate an open-door policy in order to ensure all staff members feel comfortable and confident in the school. This is a faith school that prides itself on its inclusive and environment and its very high standards of Teaching. Due to this, they are keen to ensure all their educators are able to encourage and inspire pupils to grow in the image of Christ.
The class:
Working closely with the general teaching assistant assigned to the class, the main aims of this role is to ensure pupils are ready and prepared for the step up to KS1. The Head Teacher has stressed that they wish to appoint someone who is confident taking a new class and embedding the children into the schools ethos.
To ensure a smooth takeover of the class, the current class teacher will talk through the current learning outcomes of the class, and each pupil’s personal development progress. Children with SEN are low across the school and the current EYFS class has good pupil behaviour.
Requirements for the Teacher:
Experience across KS1/EYFS is essential for this role, as a knowledge of the early years framework and curriculum must be had. Additionally, the school are open to appointing both Fully Qualified Teachers and Early Career Teachers (the school will respect the allocated time needed for PPA).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
